CMA CGM implements new overweight surcharge from Asia to Africa

CMA CGM has announced a new overweight surcharge (OWS) from Asia to Africa, effective in the next month.

More specifically, the Maersille-based company said that it will apply a surcharge of US$150 per 20' dry container with a container gross weight of over 18 tons from North East Asia, South East Asia, Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR & Macau SAR and Taiwan to Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola and Gabon

The overweight surcharge will take effect on 14 August, according to CMA CGM's announcement.
